Included in this lot we have a Art Nouveau brass and glass six light chandelier originating from the early to mid 1900's. Art Nouveau is an international style of art, architecture and applied art, especially the decorative arts, that was most popular between 1890 and 1910. A reaction to the academic art of the 19th century, it was inspired by natural forms and structures, particularly the curved lines of plants and flowers. This chandelier features eight curved stems, each showing vine designs with a flower underneath the light. The piece displays numerous hanging tear drop glass pieces with tiered brass vines across the center. The chandelier shows good condition overall with some light wear. The piece measures 19 1/4" tall (not including the chain) by 24 1/2" in diameter.
