Included in this lot we have an early art nouveau style stained glass window. Art Nouveau is a style of art internationally renown as an applied art. Being popular from 1890-1910, this style of art was a reaction to the academic art of the 19th century, and was naturally inspired by natural forms and structures, particularly the curved lines of plants and flowers. The term means "new art" or "young art". The window displays multi colored hand made glass panels bound together with lead. The panels show two pillars designs and an arch way across the top. The glass is set into sturdy wooden frame with eye bolts across the top. The piece shows fair condition overall with some wear across the piece due to age. It measures 17" wide by 26 1/2" tall.
