For your consideration is this M1861 Austria-Hungary Infantry Officer sword originating from late 1800s to early 1900s. The sword shows a thin steel blade with a steel slotted guard and a ray skin grip wrapped with a skein of three twisted wires, the center strand being of a slightly thicker gauge. The blade shows a very slight curve and deep fullers on either side of the blade. The handle is worn, and there are slight spots of rust on the steel components, but overall is in good condition. The whole sword measures 28" L. The blade measures 22 1/2" L.
