Featured in this lot is this Avon Scenes Palissy Ceramic Bowl circa 1950 to 1980's. The bowl shows a countryside scene with floral arrangements around the rim and is blue on black coloration. Palissy Pottery was a company acquired by the Worcester Royal Porcelain Company in 1958; the "Avon Scenes" pattern is a blue and white transferware design based on an early 19th century English design. the back stamp reads as follows: A Royal Worcester Ltd Subsidiary - 1790 - Avon Scenes - Palissy - Staffordshire - England - Hand Engraved. The condition of this Ceramic bowl is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this bowl is 2 1/2" x 9 3/4" x 9 3/4". The collective weight of this bowl is 1lb 4oz.
