For your consideration is an original U.S. Civil War B. Kittredge & Company marked Frank Wesson two-trigger carbine. During the Civil War, Frank Wesson supplied approximately 3,000 of these carbines to B. Kittredge & Company of Cincinnati. Kittredge then supplied 760 to Indiana, 1,366 to Kentucky, and others to Kansas and Missouri. Most were then issued to units from those states and had the marking “F. Wesson Patent Oct. 25 1859 & Nov. 11, 1862 B. Kitteredge & Co. Cincinnati O.” This fine carbine has a blade front sight, smooth stock, and the early style frame. The stock has fire damage and is missing the metal butt plate. The carbine is missing the trigger guard, sling swivel at the front of the barrel and saddle ring. Serial Number: 1143. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
