Featured in this lot we have a Bacon Arms Company pepperbox revolver chambered in .22 caliber. The pepperbox was manufactured by Bacon Arms Company, founded by Thomas Bacon with their first Bacon pepperbox designed in 1866. This pepperbox displays a solid 6 shot firing cylinder, walnut grips, single action hammer, and spur trigger. The pepperbox is designed to use cartridges rather than the traditional percussion cap design. Mechanically the pepperbox shows a operational hammer and inconsistent rotation on the cylinder. The piece overall shows good condition for its age with wear due to handling and age. The pistol weighs 8oz. No serial number. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
