In this lot is a collection of tribal-made beaded items from various cultures. First is a wonderful African beaded bid collar/necklace. This necklace has beads of black, red, turquoise, and brass with four medallions. The collar is 12" long with 13" ties on either side of an 8" curve. Next is a beaded medallion with a metal zodiac shield in the center that has beads that match the African bib necklace. There is a missing section of beads on the outside row of the medallion. The medallion measures 7 1/2" across. Next in the lot are two pouches with tassels, beads, and Shisha. The one pouch measures 6 1/2" x 6 ½" and the other measures 6 ¼" x 3 3/4"; both show signs of wear. Next is a wide seed bead necklace/collar. The collar is 15" from end to center point, with 12" ties on the ends. The necklace is done in apple green, red, sky blue, yellow, white, and black seed beads in a diamond pattern. The last item is a beaded martingale on pink felt and calico trade cloth. The martingale is beaded in yellow and blue on the pink fabric with rawhide ties and calico fabric backing. The martingale measures 51" long and 13" wide. These items range from good to fair condition, with some minor damage from age and use. Please see photographs for assessment.
