Offered in this lot is a beaded bokkie art Antelope (Sable Antelope). South African beaded art has become an important way for women to provide an independent living with dignity. This antelope is done in a light blue and black seed bead with an indigo and black iridescent bead pattern over the back. The antelope has the extra-long legs seen in classical South African art. The antelope measures 9 1/2" x 8" x 2” and is in very good condition with tight beading.
