Offered in this lot is a stunning hand carved Harlequin Duck decoy. This decoy was hand carved by renowned Big Sky carvers artist S.S. Huntsman out of Bozeman, MT. The Harlequin duck is a small sea duck with a short bill. The duck has a slate blue body with extravagant markings and bold white body stripes. This decoy shows incredible detail and coloration. The white facial crescent and spot as well as the chestnut crown patch and flanks are extremely well done along with the feather details. The piece is signed SS Huntsman on the bottom but does not feature the usual Big Sky Carvers branding. The decoy measures 13 1/2" x 6 1/4" x 6".
