For bidding in this lot is an early 1871 Edition of "Belden, The White Chief; Or Twelve Years Among The Wild Indians of the Plains". The novel is written from the diaries and manuscripts of George P. Belden, and edited by General James S. Brisbin. The book provides a wonderful biographical sketch of George P. Belden, a hunter, trapper, soldier and guide who spent nearly a dozen years living amongst the Plains Indians. the book contains numerous illustrations and features a gilt decorated cover and spine. The book is in good condition. It measures 8" x 5 3/4".
