Featured in this lot is this original framed oil on canvas of a Violinist work station by Bernt Clüver born in 1897 and died in 1941. This is a wonderfully and professionally crafted oil on canvas construction That features an impressionist lens into the work station of a violinist with music papers and the musicians violin setting on a desk. The artist signature is seen in the top right hand corner and comes complete with the original tag from the previous place of sale. Bernt Clüver was a Norwegian Impressionist & Modern artist who was born in 1897. Bernt Clüver's work has been offered at auction multiple times, with realized prices ranging from 425 USD to 6,071 USD, depending on the size and medium of the artwork. Since 2016 the record price for this artist at auction is 6,071 USD for Still life with Bottle, Glass, Pitcher and Fruit, sold at Grev Wedels Plass Auksjoner in 2016. The artist died in 1941. The condition of this oil on canvas is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this framed oil on canvas is 16" x 28 3/4" and the visible art measures 9" x 21 5/8". Provenance: From the renowned Sundog Fine Art Bozeman, Montana collection and collected by Bruce VanLandingham. Bruce VanLandingham was a pillar in the American Indian collecting community and a respected expert. Along with being an avid collector, Bruce also was the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art Gallery in Bozeman, which was both part museum and gallery.
