Included in this lot we have a original Santa Clara black polychrome pottery jar. The jar shows geometric patterns with horse shoe like indents. The designs are made of the dark grey of the clay and blackened enamel. Santa Clara Pueblo is known for its potters that create black, red, polychrome pottery. This type of pottery has been made at Santa Clara Pueblo for generations since the late 1800s. The jar shows good condition overall with some wear and hairline cracks.
