Presented in this lot is a vintage Black Hills Gold Yellow Gold Band 10K Ring, Ca. 1970s, size 7. Black Hills gold jewelry is a type of jewelry manufactured in the Black Hills of South Dakota. It was first created in the 1870s during the Black Hills Gold Rush by a French goldsmith names Henri LeBeau, who is said to have dreamed about the design after passing out from thirst and starvation. Black Hills gold jewelry depicts leaves, grape clusters and vines, and is made with alloys of gold with standard yellow gold as well as green and pink gold, the designs easily recognizable for their distinctive colors. This beautiful ring shows a burnished design surrounding the central grape clusters and leaves with an infinity emblem in the very center. This Black Hills Gold ring is in very nice condition, well maintained with no obvious marring noted. Total weight 7.2 gms
