Offered in this lot is a wonderful concho tacked leather ammunition belt from the Blackfeet Native American Indians of Montana from the 19th Century. This late 1800’s piece shows a saddle leather construction covered with a total 17 larger round domed metal brass covered heavy concho tacks. The piece also shows an “H” hallmarked solid nickel silver rectangular and octagonal belt buckle. Provenance: From a historic Eastern Montana American Indian Collection, where the piece was found to be an authentic original, one of the finest collections of American Indian weaponry and antiquities in Montana. Measures 48”L with the belt being 1 7/8”W and the buckle being 2 7/8”x2.75”.
