This is an original Montana Territory Knives of Bozeman, Montana knife showing an artful Blackfeet American Indian scrimshaw artwork. The blade has been forged from 1095HC (High Carbon) steel and 15N20 Nickel Carbon, which is then heated and folded into 396 layers, creating the astounding “Damascus” steel. The knife shows a wonderful ladder Damascus. The hollow grind full tang blade has been paired with a set of nice white wild animal bone grips scales, secured with two small mosaic pins and a lanyard loop. The tang and knife spine have been artfully hand vine filled. The knife also features a set of polished stainless-steel bolsters with a comfortable finger well. The knife is in brand new condition. The blade is marked with the “MONTANA TERRITORY KNIVES BOZEMAN MONTANA” stamping which shows the outline of Montana. The knife has been paired with a leather hand crafted sheath. The knife measures overall 10 1/4" long with the blade being 5 1/2" long.
