This is an exceptional set of beaded gauntlet glove mittens from the Montana Blackfoot (Blackfeet) Native American Indians. The set dates to the early 1900's and show a tanned Indian hide construction with wool trade blanket cloth lining. The top of the set shows beadwork in all glass trade seed and faceted beads in colors of, red, medium green, dark green, sky blue, robin egg blue, light blue,turquoise blue, and gold. At the wrist is a strip of purple trade cloth accented with gold seed beads and a leather loop. The set shows good well preserved condition. Each glove is 12 1/4"L x 7 1/2"W.
