Bob Coronato is a contemporary American artist known for his vivid depictions of the modern-day American West, blending traditional techniques with scenes of cowboy life and Native American culture. Born in 1970, Coronato has spent much of his life in the West, particularly in Wyoming and South Dakota, immersing himself in the culture he portrays. One of the distinctive aspects of his work is his use of intaglio printmaking, especially his finely detailed chine-collé editions, where thin, hand-tinted papers are bonded to a thicker backing sheet during the etching process. These editions add subtle texture and warmth to his often gritty or nostalgic scenes, and have become highly collectible for their craftsmanship and limited availability. Coronato’s chine-collé prints reflect his dedication to merging historical techniques with contemporary storytelling in Western art.
