Featured in this lot is this Chine-Collé edition etching titled "He peeled the bark off his head... lost a boot, and kilt the sage brush... where he landed" by Bob Coronato born in 1970. The etching features a wonderfully and professionally crafted construction that shows a rodeo cowboy on a rank bronco with trailers and pickup trucks in the distance getting after it with a sunfish buck in progress showing a very realistic nature of rodeo cowboy life. The etching is marked on the front as follows: "He Peeled the bark off his head... Lost a boot, and kilt the sage brush... where he landed!" - 32/190. The etching is signed by Bob Coronato in the bottom right hand corner. Bob Coronato is a contemporary American artist known for his vivid depictions of the modern-day American West, blending traditional techniques with scenes of cowboy life and Native American culture. Born in 1970, Coronato has spent much of his life in the West, particularly in Wyoming and South Dakota, immersing himself in the culture he portrays. One of the distinctive aspects of his work is his use of intaglio printmaking, especially his finely detailed chine-collé editions, where thin, hand-tinted papers are bonded to a thicker backing sheet during the etching process. These editions add subtle texture and warmth to his often gritty or nostalgic scenes, and have become highly collectible for their craftsmanship and limited availability. Coronato’s chine-collé prints reflect his dedication to merging historical techniques with contemporary storytelling in Western art. The condition of this of this etching is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this framed etching is 22" x 19 1/4" and the visible artwork measures 9 1/4" x 7 1/2". The collective weight of this etching is 4lb 8oz.
