Featured in this lot is this etching titled "Rid'n the Ridges... of the P.K." by Bob Coronato and part of his Chine-Collé. The etching shows a older cowboy overlooking the plains from a mesa and wearing traditional Great Plains Buckaroo garments with his overcoat on the back of the horse. This etching is marked as follows: "Ride'n the Ridges... of the P.K." - 142/190 (and is signed in the bottom right hand corner. Bob Coronato is a contemporary American artist known for his vivid depictions of the modern-day American West, blending traditional techniques with scenes of cowboy life and Native American culture. Born in 1970, Coronato has spent much of his life in the West, particularly in Wyoming and South Dakota, immersing himself in the culture he portrays. One of the distinctive aspects of his work is his use of intaglio printmaking, especially his finely detailed chine-collé editions, where thin, hand-tinted papers are bonded to a thicker backing sheet during the etching process. These editions add subtle texture and warmth to his often gritty or nostalgic scenes, and have become highly collectible for their craftsmanship and limited availability. Coronato’s chine-collé prints reflect his dedication to merging historical techniques with contemporary storytelling in Western art. The condition of this pair of framed etching is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this pair of framed etchings is 21 1/2" x 23 3/4" and the visible artwork measures 10 1/8" x 12 5/8". The collective weight of this etchings is 6lb 4oz.
