For your consideration is this rare first edition of "’Boots and Saddles’ or Life in Dakota with General Custer" written by Elizabeth B. Custer and published in 1885. The book is a wonderful narrative of the life of General Custer on the plains in the mid to late 1800's. The book was written as a dedication to her husband, General George Armstrong Custer, and chronicles their life together until his untimely death at the hands of Indians at the Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876. The condition of this book is good, with some wear consistent with age to the spine and the corners of the book and slight browning to the pages. The measurements of this book are 7 1/2" x 5 1/4" x 1".
