In this lot offered for your consideration is a antique scout leaders hat in a custom hat holder. This hat is the classic flat brimmed "Campaign Hat". The Boy Scouts of America Campaign hat was designed to be as timeless as the BSA tradition and is perfect for outdoor adventures! This hat comes with an additional band, and a custom made holder to protect the hat and keep the brim flat. The hat measures 21 3/4" around the inside. Paired with this leaders hat is a Spanish sword. This sword is 40" in total length with a 33 1/2" blade. The hilt has scroll work as part of the grip and hilt. On the blade is detailed etching and the words Colada del CID, making this sword a replica of the famous sword. The Colada Sword belonged to the Castilian knight Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar, known as "El Cid Campeador" in the 11th century. He was the prototype of the knight. This sword is rustic in its hilt and handle and shows some rust and loss of finish. All proceeds from these items will go to the Montana Counsel of the Boy Scouts of America.
