Included in this lot is an Original Signed Etching, "Bridge On The Dyle River", by Lucien Dasselborne, circa 1920s-1930s. Lucien Dasselborne (1873-1962), aka Francois Davril, was born in Louvroil, France. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais where he received an Honorable Mention in 1922. He also exhibited at the Salon de la Societe Nationale and the Salon d’Automne, his movement and style would be categorized as Impressionist. This coloured etching is one of a number done by the artist of the Dyle (Dijle, Dutch) river in which flows through the central Belgium provinces of Walloon Brabant, Flemish Brabant and Antwerp. Provenance label on rear of frame says, "ORIGINAL ETCHING by Dasselborne Title Bridge on the Dyle River. Etchings carrying this label are Genuine Original French Etchings Imported from Paris. The Artist placed on this Etching the Triangle Trade Mark enclosing the letters SZL as a Special Identification. An Etcing is only Genuine Original when made entirely by hand, and no mechanical process is used." Artist signature at the bottom right on the etching. The etching is in good overall condition, the colours are distinct and do not appear faded. The gold gilt wood frame is in good condition with very minimal scuffing noted, visible art measures 24"W x 27"L, frame measures 27"W x 30"L.
