Included in this lot we have a British Pattern 1888 Mark I Lee Metford rifle bayonet. The bayonet displays a single edged blade, wood grips, and metal attachment points. The blade shows a modified double edged design with only one side sharpened. The blade displays numerous inspection stamps and marked with WD indicating the British War Department. The guard shows a circular barrel attachment with a rounded end. The handle shows walnut grips with brass pins and the pommel showing a attachment points with inspection stamps. The bayonet shows good condition overall with some light wear and a warm patina. The bayonet measures 14 1/4" long with the blade being 9 1/2" long.
