Featured in this lot we have a casting of "Bronco Buster" by American artist Frederic Remington. The Bronco Buster, originally created in 1895, was Frederic Remington's first bronze sculpture and has become a symbol of the heroic ideal of the American west. There has been a bronze cast of 'The Bronco Buster' in the White House since the days of Theodore Roosevelt. The statue depicts a cowboy in the middle of wrangling a bucking bronco which is in mid leap. The sculpture shows a hand carved engraving at the base reading "Frederic Remington". The piece sits on top of a marble base with a velvet bottom, and the base features a brass plaque reading "Bronco Buster". The statue is in good condition overall with some spots of slight discoloration. The piece measures approximately 21" long by 13" wide by 23 1/2" tall with the base measuring 8" wide by 15" long.
