Included in this lot is a cast bronze sculpture of Minnehaha originating from the late 1800's. Minnehaha is a fictional Native American woman from Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem, “The Song of Hiawatha”, written in 1855. She also appears in numerous book series, including “Adventures of the Old West” by Emilio Salgari, “Sulle Frontiere”, “La Vendetta di Minnehaha”, and more. The statue depicts Minnehaha seated on a boulder and wearing a wonderful hide dress. The statue displays wonderful design and attention to detail. The piece is marked across the front of the base, reading "Minnehaha". The piece shows good condition overall, with little to not wear. The statue measures 7 1/4" tall by 5 1/2" long.
