Featured in this lot we have a wonderful Belgian grade 3 Browning SA-22 engraved semi-automatic rifle chambered in .22 long rifle and coming with a browning leather case. The Belgian Grade 3 was the highest grade manufactured from Belgium with the later Japanese manufactured models going up to grade 6. This wonderful rifle features a 19 1/4" round barrel, etched receiver and frame, beautiful polished stock, and interior stock magazine. The receiver is etched with intricate floral designs with the left side fully engraved with a pheasant and setter, the right side has a setter flushing out three ducks, and the top showing a bust of a setter holding a duck in its mouth. The left and right side for the frame are signed by "A Marechal". The rifle was manufactured in Belgium in 1964 indicated with the serial number starting with 4T. The wood stock is in 96-98% condition with sharp checkered grips with a wonderful finish. The stock shows a few spots of minor wear and small flat spot on the checkering. The action and left side of the barrel are stamped with import and manufacturing marks. The top of the barrel is marked "Browning Arms Company St. Louis Mo. & Montreal P.Q. Made In Belgium". The barrel displays a bright rifling and clear threading into the frame. The rifle comes with a fitted leather Browning carry case. The case displaying a leather exterior with brass hardware and a brass medallion reading "Americas Finest Browning Sports Equipment Morgan, Utah Montreal, P.Q. Made in U.S.A." with the interior showing wool rifle supports for the separated barrel and stock. The rifle shows wonderful condition and would make a wonderful addition to any collection. The rifle and case weighs 12lbs 8oz. Serial Number 4T97367. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic firearm, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
