Included in this lot is a framed 1925 landscape picture of the “Richest Hill on Earth-Butte, Montana”. The photo in this picture was taken by The Photo Shop in Butte, Montana in 1925. The description of this photo explains, "The Richest Hill on Earth- A view of Butte, Montana, the greatest mining camp in the world, where over 100 shafts pierce the hill which has yielded more than two billion dollars in gold, silver, copper, zinc and lead-three-quarters of this sum, however, having been left in the state in the form of wages, freight and supplies. Fifteen thousand tons of ore, produced by 10,000 miners, are hoisted to the surface from these miners each day." On the back of this frame is written, "Mounted by Barb Stuart in Dec. 1976." This photo is set into a white painted wooden frame. This piece is in good condition. The frame measures 43 3/4" x 11 1/2" x 1".
