Featured in this lot is this hand made, Colt Single Action Army 7 1/2 leather holster, made by a San Francisco saddle maker in the 1870s - 1880s. This holster is attributed to a saddle maker in San Francisco and shows a two piece construction. The holster shows intricate tooled designs of a cowboy riding a horse and running deer. Floral and geometric tooled designs are present throughout the entire holster and nice braided leather border can be seen on the holster. No makers marks or company marks are present. It shows good condition overall with wear present from its age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. It measures 12 1/2" L x 5 1/2" W x 1" D and weighs 8 ounces.
