Blunt, Ordnance Department Inspector Of Small Arms Practice at the Headquarters of the Army Third Edition New York Charles Scribner's Son's 1889". 368 pages and illustrated with line drawings, it contains just about everything you'd ever want to know about target practice with the US Model 1873, 1884, and 1888 Trapdoor Springfield Rifles in 45-70. This book is in overall good condition, has a brass clasp closure. The blue cloth boundgold gilt embossed cover shows some scuffing, some of the front matter pages have tears, remainder of the pages appear intact, foxing noted throughout.
