Featured in this lot is a set of two vintage Yellowstone National Park Ranger horse panniers circa late 1900's to early 1900s. The panniers were used by Yellowstone National Park Rangers and set on horses to carry supplies and other needs throughout the park. Both panniers show a wood, metal, leather and canvas construction. The buckles and straps are made of leather and show metal components. The wood boards are set on the bottom and back of the panniers and are reinforced with metal to help hold the shape of the panniers. One of the panniers shows a makers mark stamped on the leather with a cross and an "N". Leather is stamped with a maker of what possible appears to be F. Horner. Both panniers show good condition with wear consistent with their vintage age and use throughout the years. The panniers measure 21" L x 34 1/2" W x 5" D.*
