Featured in this lot is this bicycle lamp from The Badger Brass Mfg. Co. model S Solar lamp circa 1890's. The lamp features a wonderfully and professionally crafted bicycle lamp construction that is made from brass and shows a larger magnifying front glass the side and back of the lamp shows a faceted blue glass with a faceted round clear glass along the side. The other side is marked and reads as follows: The Badger Brass Mfg. Co. - Model S Solar - Kenosha Wisc. U.S.A. The lamp is also marked on the top of the lamp 'Solar' and shows patent dates on the bottom that reads as follows: US: Feb 1, 1896; Jan 31, 1899; Feb 7, 1899; England: Feb 4, 1896; May 12, 1896; Canada: Jun 15,1899. The condition of this lamp is good with a heavy patina adorning the brass and the plug for the side compartment is missing but otherwise the lamp is in good overall condition. The measurements of this lamp are 6 3/4" x 4 1/2" x 4".
