For your consideration is this Hudson Bay Company 3 1/2 point trade wool blanket. This blanket is tan with brown stripes and shows a pleasant wool construction. This blanket shows the company tag that was used in the 1890'S and was made in England. Although the Hudson Bay Company didn't originate the point system for trade blankets, they popularized this system of quality identification. In the trapping and trading times, the points would match the number of beaver hides a blanket was worth. This blanket shows 3 1/2 points as brown strips on the left-hand side of the blanket. The condition of the blanket is very good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this blanket are 62" x 81".
