Frank Albert Rinehart (February 12, 1861-December 17, 1928) was an American artist famous for his photography capturing Native American personalities and scenes, especially portrait settings of leaders and members of the delegations who attended the 1898 Indian Congress in Omaha. This photo shows the regal Indian Chief Lick from the Sioux tribe posing with war club in right hand and looking off into the distance and sporting a fully beaded bag around his neck. The condition of this framed colored photograph is good with no signs of damage to the painting or the frame.
