Offered in this lot is a Theodore Roosevelt as "Colonel Volunteers Rough Rider" Cabinet Card circa 1898, Spanish-American War Period. The photograph features a portrait of "Theodore Roosevelt. Colonel volunteers (Rough Riders)." is written below his portrait shown wearing his Cavalry uniform. The back of the card is an advertisement for "Fairbank's Fairy Soap Pure White Floating". The soap was made by The N.K. Fairbanks Company located in Chicago, St Louis, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Pittsburg, and Baltimore. This card is a very scarce and extremely popular Political Cabinet Photograph. A truly remarkable image of one of the most dynamic and charismatic Presidents of the United States. A few minor spots are on the outer lower right boarder well away from the photograph of Roosevelt. The card measures 6 1/4" x 3 7/8".
