The lot features a fantastic twined basketry woven doll dating to circa 1910 from the Klamath / Modoc Indians. The piece is accompanied by a tag that is marked "Circa 1910 Native Area Plant Hemp $4500.00 / Modoc Doll Northern (illegible Cablorn?) Klamath River area". The doll shows a woven doll woman having a papoose wrap with baby on the back. Overall well kept and in good condition. Provenance: From the ex-collection from Gallup, New Mexico and a private collection from the greater Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. Measures overall 9.25"H by 4.5"W by 3"D.
