The lot features a fantastic circa 1920-1930 Acoma pottery olla with a beautiful thunderbird polychrome painted pattern. The piece comes with an original collection museum tag which is marked "BRT 0400 G Acoma Olla C 1920-1930" and was found to be an authentic Acoma example by the experts at Hindman and Cowan's auction. The bottom is very softly marked "Acoma" in graphite pencil. The handmade pottery bowl has a red slip with polychrome painted geometric and thunderbird pictorial pattern in brown, black, white / cream, and red / orange. Provenance: From the Estate of Beatrice Weiskopf, Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Overall good condition with some small slight spots of loss to the paint, but overall well kept for its early age with no apparent cracks. Measures overall 8" diameter across by 6"H.
