This is an outstanding original circa 1920's Muller Frès Lunéville Art Nouveau Chandelier from Philipsburg, Montana. The piece was collected from a period correct Philipsburg, Montana building. Each glass piece is marked with the correct "Muller Fres Luneville" etching on the glass and shows the correct beautiful "Pate de Verre" art glass with mottled sunset coloring ranging from clear, amber orange / red to dark purple / blue with a satin finish. The chandelier itself shows the correct wrought iron frame with naturalistic pattern in leaves, vines and chestnuts. Muller Freres were French flassmakers located in Luneville, France and renowned for producing Art Nouveau glassworks suchas as vases, lampshades and lighting. Originally from Alsace, Germany and Mutterstadt, Germany some members of the family worked with Emile Galle and Henri and Desire. This pattern has been documented as being an authentic example and highly desired by collectors with some selling for nearly $10,000. The piece was originally installed in a Philipsburg, Montana downtown business. Philipsburg, Montana began as a trading post and mining camp in 1866.
