For your consideration is this Case Eagle tractor or machinery part circa 1940-60s. J.I. Case was from Oswego County, New York and was a pioneer in threshing machines. He moved to Rochester, Wisconsin, which was still a territory, in 1842. Case decided he would start his company there in Rochester, but shortly moved to Racine after starting the company. Case not only excelled at threshing machines, but by 1886 had become the world’s leading producer of steam engines. Tractors and other farm equipment soon followed. The American bald eagle represents freedom, prowess and strength; so the Case name has become synonymous with dependable, long-lasting farm and construction machines. In 1984, after purchasing International Harvester’s agricultural division, the company became known as Case-International. This part is thought to have come from a tractor, and features the iconic bald eagle Case logo on the front of the part reading, "Case" in the globe section with the bald eagle standing on top of the globe. The piece was made through the cast iron process. The piece shows good condition for its vintage age with some rusting throughout but no signs of obvious damage. The piece measures 12 1/8" L x 13 3/8" W x 4 5/8" H.
