This is a rare, original Old Pawn Navajo silver bracelet set with rare Sleeping Beauty Turquoise from circa 1949. The bracelet was purchased at the Trading Post at the top of Trail Ridge in Rocky Mountain National Park in December 1949. The piece exhibits six polished cabochons which are true, authentic early Sleeping Beauty Mine Turquoise and are untreated showing a gem quality with phenomenal color and clean matrix. The bracelet shows the classic Old Pawn construction with thick heavy silver having a stamped bracelet with spots of silver adorning the bezel set stones. The bracelet is accompanied by a provenance note that confirms that Grandma Verna Kummer purchased the bracelet in 1949 at the top of Trail Ridge Trading Post in The Rocky Mountain National Park and is accompanied by a Chicago Railroad Fair from the Summer 1949 called Santa Fe Railway Indian Village, a travel brochure that the family also picked up from the Trading Post at the same trip in 1949. The untreated turquoise has a few tell tail chips, further showing its rarity, and overall the piece is well kept in original condition. The measurements of this bracelet is 2 1/4" x 2 3/4" x 3/4" and the circumference is 5". The collective weight is 62.3g.
