Featured in this lot is this polychrome Kachina dolls from Hopi Pueblo artist RB Walthall circa 1960's. There are two Kachina dolls in this collection. The first shows a wonderfully and professionally crafted softwood construction that shows a face covering with horse hair and shows a shield at its right side of the Kachina and shows polychrome coloration of black, light green and cream, with red tones. The second is an eagle head Kachina doll that shows a feathered head that shows a polychrome coloration of gold, grey, black, tones of red, and striped cream and light grey skirt. The second Kachina shows a shield attached to the right hand side of the doll. The condition of this pair of wooden Kachina dolls is fair to good with the toes of one of the the feet on each of the dolls but otherwise shows fair to good overall condition. The measurements of these Kachina dolls is 10 1/4" x 3" x 2" and 10 3/4" x 5" x 3".
