Here is a great chance to bid on one of the finest custom made saddle makers, saddle. This saddle was custom made by W.D. Allison, Montrose Colorado. Walt made all of his saddles with great pride. Walt made saddles from 1909 to 1940. The saddle is in good condition for its age. The saddle has heavy brass fittings a rawhide covered roping horn with a brass button. The saddle is marked "254" on the back of the cantle. The skirt, side jockey, and fender is stamped with a Forget Me Not flower. The saddle has a undercut swell, with a high slope 16" seat, a low height medium angle cantle. The saddle is double rigged with a cinch, a flank strap, and has a flat brass flat plate for the cinch strap with five different cinch attachment options. Each side of the saddle has three large conchos with latigo ties. This saddle is in very good condition for its approximate 100 year age.
