For your bidding pleasure in this lot is a 1949 Chromolithograph of Charlie M. Russell's 1989, "The Challenge", printed in 1949 by H. E Britzman. Homer Elwood Britzman (1901-1953) was the author of the book "Charles M. Russell, The Cowboy Artist”. This chromolithograph from a water color shows two wild stallions fighting for rule of the band of horses. On the backside of this print is the right half of "Waiting For A Chinook". This shows just the head of the steer and the three wolves. The piece has minor holes in the upper right and left corners and age spots (foxing) to the paper. The paper measures 9" x 11".
