Featured in this lot are Antique Ideal Manufacturing Reloading Tools (5), patent year 1884. There are five tools in this collection. Included are reloading tools for .45 Colt, 40-60 M & Colt, 40-82 W.C.F., 41- C.D.A. S, and 25-20 R. John Barlow founded the Ideal Manufacturing Company in 1884 in New Haven, producing bullet molds, powder measures, and the famous "Ideal Hand Book of Useful Information for Shooters". A pioneering brand of vintage handloading equipment, they are famous for their compact, multi-functional pliers-style tools (like the No. 4 and No. 6), they allowed early shooters to cast bullets, decap, prime, and crimp in the field. The condition of this collection of hand reloaders is good overall. Oxidation observed, 25-20 R handles are covered with electrical tape. Respective measurements are 3.5"W x 8.375"L, 4.75"W x 10.25"L, 4"W x 9"L, 2.75"W x 8.375"L, 2.75"W x 8.125"L.. Collective weight is 7lb, 2oz.
