Featured in this lot is this Dutch map of Roman Highways on the Isle of the Batavians titled: "Landkaart verbeeldende de twee Romeynsche heirbaanen of groote weegan in heteyland der Batavieren: voor zoo ver ik die, eensdeels met de Romeynsche seystrafelen door Velzer uytgegeeven, andersdeels, met de heir te land geweest zynde Romeynsche standplaaten, heb konnen overeenbrengen". The map can be showcased in 1734 Historie der Keyzeren, Koningen, Hertogen en Graaven; welken, federt de komst der batavieren in bet thans genaamde" by Gerard van Loon.
