Hart Gun Ship from Tombstone, Arizona Territory; from the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum collection and Hart family collection. The lot features a matched set of Colt First Generation early eagle and rampant colt grips for the Colt Single Action Army Model 1873 revolver, as well as a single grip. There is also a very early circ 1870-1880 Colt SAA handmade tooled leather grip wrap. There is a Colt Firearms Hartford Conn. U.S.A. Cartridge .476 / .45 / .44-40 / 8-40-4 / .38 / .32-44 / 32 (on the first side) and (Rampant Colt logo) Percussion Carbine .650 / .600 / .550 / .440 / .380 / .310 engraved official Colt brass bore size checking tool as well as an old Colt SAA Colt Pistols / Revolvers with Rampant Colt Logo metal tool. A small Single Action Army .45 marked silver colored pistol display is included. There is an early Colt Revolvers and Automatic Pistols Smith Sporting Goods Co., Tucson, Ariz. The Proven Best by Government Test advertising cover letter envelope from the early 1900’s. Two museum tags which are marked as such, first, “VERY FIRST EAGLE GRIPS MADE Only produced for 60 days G-052” and second, “HARD RUBBER EAGLE / EAGLE GRIPS / 1st Generation – rare in this condition G-051. Lastly a set of hard plastic Colt Single Action Army and brass “COLT’S HTFD. CONN.” Stamped (inside) grips which shows the Rampant Colt logo in askew oval atop and eagle with shield below. Overall good condition with patina and wear from age. The measurements of this collection ranges from 1 1/2" x 1 5/8" to 3 7/8" x 1 1/4" x 1 3/8".
