Featured in this lot is this RARE size Plains Indians squaw or child's floppy head sklullcrusher war club circa 1870 to 1880's. The war club is wonderfully and professionally crafted natural material construction that shows a wooden and stone core with buffalo hide Parfleche wrapped demeanor with sinew sewn seams and ended in horse tail hair. This is a very unique size for skullcrackers and most likely procured for a squaw or older child. The condition of this war club is well preserved with a stark patina adorning the Parfleche hide wrapping and some of the stitching shows some wear but otherwise shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this war club is 21 3/4" x 1 3/4" x 1 3/8". The collective weight of this war club is U4oz.
