Featured in this lot is this Winchester Repeating Arms Company .44 center fire cartridges circa 1874. The cartridges and cartridge box are the original product with some wear to the cartridges consistent with age but the box shows a opened original format with very little wear and reads on the top as follows: 50 - Winchester .44 Winchester Cartridges - Center Fire -0 200 Grain Lead Bullets - For Winchester Repeating Rifles, Model 73 an 92 and other Arms - Made in the U.S.A. - Winchester Repeating Arms Company. The condition of this box of cartridges is well preserved with some wear and discoloration to the box and has the factory seal opened but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this box of ammunition is 2 3/8" x 4 3/4" x 1 3/4". The collective weight of this box of ammunition is 2lb 4oz.
