This is a beautiful Navajo Germantown Child's Blanket dating to circa 1880-1910's. The blanket shows an extremely fine, tight weave with Germantown yarn and natural handspun yarn showing a classic child's blanket pattern with zig-zag eyedazzler like pattern showing stacked tiered boxes in bands with straight bands in between. The blanket shows red, lilac purple, other purples, natural whtie, natural grey, black, brown and yellow / tans. The rug is from a substantial luxury mountain lodge Montana collection who acquired their rugs from Hubbell Trading Post, Cowboy Connection, Garland's and others. The blanket shows a 36 weft and 18 warp count per inch with tight weave that is well kept. The blanket is well kept with no major damages, some slight edge wear, even colors on both sides, no A / B with no major damages or holes. Slight staining on one side, which appears to be easily cleaned. Measures overall 44.25-inches by 27-inches.
