Featured in this lot is this apache Indian framed arrow circa 1880's and was housed in the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum; Provenance: purchased by Sam Medovich in 1987 by Joe Soebbing and housed in the Silver Nugget Museum and in the Wagon Wheel before the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The arrow features a wonderfully and professionally crafted iron, wood, and feather construction that shows sinew wrapping to secure the point and fletching with a long polished shaft. The arrow comes with an original museum tag that reads as follows: Apache Arrow - This was on display at the Silver nugget Museum in Tombstone. The arrow also comes with paperwork that states the following int he paragraph: "I purchased this circa 1880 Apache arrow from Sam Medovich in 1987. Sam owned the Silver Nugget Museum in Tombstone and the Wagon Wheel Restaurant. He often purchased items the locals picked up in Tombstone and he said this came from the area. It was on display at the museum, (framed) and then at the Wagon Wheel." The condition of this framed arrow is well preserved with some slight oxidation to the point and patina to the shaft and shows the fletching showing wear consistent with age. The measurements of this of this frame is 5 1/2" x 33 3/8" and the arrow measures 30 1/2" in length. The collective weight of this 10oz.
