The lot features a set of late 19th-century to early 20th-century high top Indian hide beaded moccasins from the Crow Apsaalooke. The set is comprised of Indian tanned hide, high top moccasins of an adult size with thick harness saddle trade leather sole nice foot worn patina. The tops and high top leg have amazing whimsical floral beadwork, a very unique Crow Apsaalooke style. The ebadwork is all glass trade seed beads with colors of semi-transparent lilac, red, greasy green, green, corn yellow, semi-transparent teal, blue, oranges Cheyenne pink. The moccasins are sinew sewn and beadwork thread sewn. A truly fine set of early Indian reservation moccasins that are well kept with little bead loss, nice hides and good patina. Each moccasin measures 9.75-inch long sole by 3.5-inch wide and 13-inch high leg / ankle.
